Unboxing And Testing
The camera are not the best on the market but considering the price paid. It seems that the maximum distance effectively is 30 feet which is all I require. I also purchased the hub and it initially would not log any video over 10 sec. I complained and they issued a software update and then they remembered me and contacted to tell me the new software was available.
Another thing I noticed was the fact that the motion activation kept getting activated every time I checked the live feed. I would get a notification on my phone, go into the app to check what the camera saw by looking at the events history. The events history would not update, so then I would look at the live feed, which caused the camera to send me another notification for motion and start recording. However there was not actually any motion in view while I was watching the live feed. This happened at night. It seems like it turns on a light or something because the video quality changes from dark to light in night vision. I got this to watch neighborhood cats that I’m feeding and it seems to spook the cats when I check the live feed. I made sure that the setting for the camera light was off but there still seems to be something funky happening.
I also Tried it for about a week and adjusted all of the settings, and still unable to find any info about this in their support center. Really wanted this to work since it is rechargeable and magnetic. It was easy to position outside on a metal drain spout so that I didn’t have to install anything permanent. I have been using a battery powered trail camera that I was hoping to replace with this one. This one seems to be a lot more trouble than it’s worth and won’t record as long as the other one that I already own so it’s getting returned.
Does Noorio Really work?
Sadly, I would be returning mine cos It has just many troubles and glitches.

- How long does the charged camera last? They only made mention of the app notifying you when you need to charge, but nothing about how long the charged camera lasts.
- Is the camera weather proof (it’s meant to sit outside your home as a security camera, but no reference to it being waterproof.
- Where is the video footage stored / how is the video recording triggered? (It says it needs to be connected to your wifi, but with claims of no monthly fee, it raises questions on video storage) Knowing the requirements (e.g. MB/24hrs and any auto-erase) would be handy
