THIS CASE WAS BROUGHT BY DANZEL STEARNS ON BEHALF OF ALL PERSONS WHO WERE TRANSPORTED UNDER CONDITIONS CONSTITUTING CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT that is, while fully restrained for more than 24 continuous hours without an opportunity to lie down to sleep at night without restraints.

What Is This Class Action All About?
To participate in the settlement and get money, you must OBTAIN AND SUBMIT A CLAIM FORM. If you want to keep your right to sue the ISC, your request to opt-out from the Settlement must be post-marked by June 30, 2023. If you want to stay in the Settlement but want to object to its terms, your objection must be post-marked by June 30, 2023. The Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on August 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM (CT) at the Richard Sheppard Arnold United States Courthouse, Courtroom 4D, 500 West Capitol Avenue, Little Rock, AR, 72201. Who Is Eligible?
The settlement benefits all individuals who were transported between jails, FULLY RESTRAINED, by INMATE SERVICES CORPORATION (“ISC”) on a company van at any time between FEBRUARY 11, 2016, and MARCH 31, 2023 for 24 HOURS OR MORE without being permitted to get out of restraints and sleep overnight, lying down, YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE SETTLEMENT CLASS AND ENTITLED TO COMPENSATION under a proposed settlement of the above-captioned case against ISC.
How To Be Part of This Settlement
IF YOU DO NOT SUBMIT A CLAIM BY THE DUE DATE OR OPT-OUT OF THE SETTLEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE COMPENSATED AND YOU WILL BE BARRED FROM EVER COLLECTING DAMAGES OR COMPENSATION FROM ISC.
