W.B. Mason hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $5.65 million settlement to resolve the commission class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the settlement, sales representatives can receive a proportional cash payment based on the number of workweeks they worked during the class period. Mailed notices to class members included an estimated workweek count.
No payment estimates are available because final payment amounts will vary depending on the number of participating class members.
Who Is Eligible?
The settlement benefits three classes: the New Jersey Class, the New York Class and the Pennsylvania Class.
The New Jersey Class includes individuals who worked for W.B. Mason as a commissioned sales representative based or working in New Jersey since April 2, 2015.
The New York Class includes individuals who worked for W.B. Mason as a commissioned sales representative based or working in New York since April 2, 2015.
The Pennsylvania Class includes individuals who worked for W.B. Mason as a commissioned sales representative based or working in Pennsylvania since April 28, 2017.
How To Be Part of This Settlement
The class members have until May 8, 2023, to challenge the number of eligible work weeks assigned to them by the settlement administrator.
In order to receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by May 23, 2023.
What Is The Pay For This Settlement?
It Varies. Proof of purchase involves Documentation of workweeks, if challenging the number of eligible workweeks listed on the settlement notice.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is May 23, 2023.
