Another video that was posted online, cleverly intersperses clips of  Mike Pompeo   that were sourced from elsewhere between its exaggerated claims of dropping 100 pounds by ingesting the gummies. The posts then links to external websites where users can purchase the gummies for themselves. One of such fake sites features a purported article from TIME Magazine that claims that the “weight loss miracle gummy” was a product that Mike Pompeo launched.

The Mike Pompeo weight loss gummies scam videos and articles, as well as the fake reviews, were hosted on various scam websites. The fake articles sometimes led to a website for the product that showed a customer service and support phone number and email address.

However, these advertisements are not legitimate and the TIME article does not exist. A spokesperson for Mike Pompeo confirmed that these Facebook posts were peddling a scam.
