The EEOC took legal action against Focus Plumbing in 2017, claiming the company subjected female workers to a hostile work environment that included unwanted sexual advances, sexual harassment and other wrongdoing. Women were allegedly threatened if they refused these sexual advances, while those who acquiesced to the sexual harassment were offered better assignments and hours.

Focus Plumbing agreed to pay $500,000 to settle claims from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) that it discriminated against, harassed and retaliated against female workers. The name of the case is EEOC v. Focus Plumbing LLC, et al., Case No. 2:21-cv-01758-GMN-EJY, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.

The company hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $500,000 to resolve these allegations.

Under the terms of the settlement, class members can receive a cash payment. Payments will vary depending on the EEOC’s determination of owed damages.
